    Anyone for pizza?

    http://www.ladbible.com/news/food-ma...lenge-20181010

It has been pointed out that the pub is not in "Manchester" but Wilmslow, Cheshire so PuG crawlers tomorrow may miss out.

I found this quote at the end a little sad, really...

"Rachael is journalist from West Cumbria, recently moved to Manchester for an exciting opportunity at LADbible. She used to work as an editor of a small newspaper, in Cumbria. Outside of work Rachael loves plenty of coffee, running and reading."

I notice UK doesn't figure on the list of countries with the highest percentage price increase. I presume that's because we're already paying such a high proportion of tax and Pubco profit on our beers.

    https://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/...20181024178626

“Why would these men – and lets be fair, it’s all men – sit around talking to each other late at night about how best to brew their own ales and chatting about how shit CAMRA are?"

“They were sharing a video called 2 Hops, 1 Cask which was so boring it made me puke.”

That's made me laugh no end.

Default Manchester: Hula, The Blue Pig and Walrus bars in Northern Quarter shut

Hula, The Blue Pig and Walrus bars in Northern Quarter shut as owners go into liquidation:

    https://www.manchestereveningnews.co...losed-15351176

The Blue Pig was previously part of the Odd chain which went into administration at the beginning of 2018, but reopened under its new owners around April.

I feel sorry for the staff affected, some 125 people according to the MEN.
