I went out to Borough last night to have a go in one or two pubs and every one was like New Year's Eve, so I gave up.
It's in Preston. I'm really looking forward to the Butter Pie although that pushes it up to £59! And of course the wine pairing...

I would never divulge my school nickname.

A lovely pub and my review says it was the least expensive on our Summer 2019 crawl. But £21 for an 11% pint??? I'll bet this would be about £3.00 if in were on cask; last year I paid £4.50 for a half of 11% Siren Maiden at The Old Fountain.

No, the Rutland is not often on my radar. But Retired Martin had some of that beer.

Curtains come down on the Bessie Era at the Dyffryn Arms

    https://www.thedrinksbusiness.com/20...bass-has-died/

I almost made it there a couple of years back but was foiled by a lack of taxis available in Flint.

I don't know if it is still open (or will remain open in the long-term). If anyone hears anything...

It seems that everyone in that article are called Davies. Relatives or is that just Wales for you ? Obviously a sad loss.

Bessie's 73-year run outgunned by just one year by Flossie's (is there a theme here?) reign at The Sun Inn.
