Agree that £4.50 is the average but Iv'e recently had pints in The Harp and Tapping The Admiral under £4.00 (albeit with CAMRA discount, £3.50 in the latter),Oakham Citra at £3.80 in the King Charles 1 , Kings Cross ,without discount, The Southampton Arms and Euston Tap may have just recently broached the £4.00 mark. That said it no longer shocks me to be charged nearer £5.00 in other places.
The Union Tavern £4.30 a pint seemingly in October 2017, but several recent trips have delivered pints at just sub-£4.00 prices yet this pub is in an increasingly very expensive area. Nice pub too.
A recent trip to Tapping the Admiral delivered several pints at sub-£4.00 prices and that was without a CAMRA card - one of the reasons why I like it so much.
