Many, possibly most, people stick with what they're familiar. The pub on the next corner from me is a brewpub. Of about six lines, there's usually three homebrew, two local beers, then London bleedin Pride, there, I suspect, for some loan arrangement. They sell a vast amount of Pride, and not just to tourists.

I have a friend with whom I must have enjoyed hundreds of curries. In thirty odd years I've never known him order anything but chicken tikka masala.

Then again, I'm not averse to drinking lager in there if I so fancy, so feel free to burst into tears or burst out laughing.

There's a new Doom Bar clip out which includes the information "Balanced and moreish". I wonder if Sharp's have changed the recipe?

    Strewth Mate!

And for Caledonian Deuchers too. No wonder Malmaison translates as bad house.

I'm not all that familiar with Norwich and although I have visited it several times I haven't been to this one. I understand that today it's one of the candidates for the Beer Capital of the UK so I would imagine there is considerable competition. I don't think that cutting his real ale choice is a good decision. My problem with the city today is that it's very big and requires some effort to find your way around by bus.

    TASTY!

Doom Bar is the reverse - washing-up liquid made from beer.

I'm prepared to go along with any condemnation of that rubbish however extreme but I do seem to keep on finding people who claim it was better when they were independent but I'm afraid I can't buy that argument!
