Salt/Pomona Island collab -- Shoop

A new one on me despite it being regularly stocked in my local Tesco. Hazy New England IPA's are a popular style with the new wave of craft beer brewers, and I found this amongst the best.Four malts give a sweet nose and smooth mouthfeel while the Cascade,Enigma,Motueka and Vic Secret hops, many dry hopped, give all the resinous character.Brewed to 6.4% and with a lingering bitterness it's a very fine brew. 9/10

Sounds like a German thing. And what is 'horehound'?

I seem to have had a lot of NEIPA's recently, and true to style they have been hazy with an orange juice appearance. So it was good to get back to this West Coast IPA brewed clear and to 5.8%,with the malts giving a subtle sweetness and a combination of Simcoe,Chinook and Columbus giving complex tastes and a deep bitterness in the finish which demand a second.I thought this was a very fine example 9/10
