Channelling my inner Ena Sharples or is it Minnie Caldwell? with a nice milk stout. There’s been some anti lactose comment here lately but it’s the key ingredient of milk stout.

Absolutely, It can be challenging when it turns up in an IPA though.

True, but one of the outcomes of trying random selections of crafty beers during Lockdowns 1, 2 and 3 is that I can't stand the filthy stuff!

You drink these ghastly beers so that we don't have to!

Actually, you could just put the lactose ones to one side and send a parcel up to oldboots - I'm sure he'd make it worth your while.

That sounds like a plan if I can get some fresh real ale, direct from the cask, in return!

It’s BrewYork so is it likely to be terrible?

Tell you what, if I get anything else with peanuts and lactose in what is supposed to be 'beer', then I'll try to remember to bring the can with me on the next Pubs Galore crawl (assuming that there are any pubs left open by then...) and I'll swap it for a pint of the real stuff.
