Described on the tin as a Honey Wee Heavy,it was lively out of the tin but with a head that quickly disappeared. There was some honey on the nose,but also other malt derived fruits .Before drinking I dreaded it ,sadly Scottish beers of old didn't float my canalboat but this was a revelation.Thankfully the honey wasn't dominant ,the malt richness was balanced with hop drinkability and I really enjoyed this 10%. A surprising 8/10.

A 6.4% NEIPA, very much a juice bomb , tropical flavours with ripe Pineapple to the fore, dry hopped with Vic Secret , Enigma and Motueka , I prefer Salt IKAT but this is very good. 8/10.

Your photo reminds me that I bought a can of Brew York Quaddy Modo 11.0% forest fruit and star anise quadrupel recently. Thankfully without any lactose. Ingredients include (as well as barley, hops and yeast) turbinado sugar, molasses, blackberries, blueberries, cherries and the aforementioned star anise. There are four malts listed and the hops are Mount Hood. I'm almost nervous about drinking it - what if it's absolutely terrible?Originally Posted by oldboots

It’s BrewYork so is it likely to be terrible?
I haven't drunk many of their beers so I have no preconceptions. I don't normally go for beers that are stuffed full of fruit, but I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone for once. Wish me luck!

Yes me too, one of the four Yorkshire breweries I rate as excellent , 11/10.
