    A trip to Scotland !

    Elusive -- Bee Strong

    IMG_0039.JPG

Described on the tin as a Honey Wee Heavy,it was lively out of the tin but with a head that quickly disappeared. There was some honey on the nose, but also other malt derived fruits .Before drinking I dreaded it ,sadly Scottish beers of old didn't float my canalboat but this was a revelation.Thankfully the honey wasn't dominant ,the malt richness was balanced with hop drinkability and I really enjoyed this 10%. A surprising 8/10.

Salt / Pomona Island - Shoop

    Salt Shoop.jpg

A 6.4% NEIPA, very much a juice bomb , tropical flavours with ripe Pineapple to the fore, dry hopped with Vic Secret , Enigma and Motueka , I prefer Salt IKAT but this is very good. 8/10.

It’s BrewYork so is it likely to be terrible?

I haven't drunk many of their beers so I have no preconceptions. I don't normally go for beers that are stuffed full of fruit, but I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone for once. Wish me luck!
