    Cambridgeshire (formerly Huntingdonshire):

Brewster's-Hophead 3.6%abv.The "other" Hophead-well at least for those of us in the South-grassy hops, garden fruit, grapefruit on the finish.A decent session pale.
    Adnam's -Blackshore Stout.4.2%abv.Delicious chocolate rich dry stout.From a keg.

    My BOTW,Brewster's Hophead.

    Limehouse,Liverpool and Ham

    Timothy Taylor -- Landlord
    Woodforde -- Wherry
    Black Sheep -- Bitter
    Northdown -- Magic Dragon *
Northdown -- Papworth Victory Best Bitter
Mondo -- Jenny Jenny Golden Ale
    Castle Rock -- Harvest Pale
    Beartown -- Peach Melbear * (>3PT)
Beer Cask -- Barcelona IPA* (bottle)
    Rat -- White Rat *
    Mobberley -- Chinook
Tall Ships -- Rock the Boat
    Mallinsons -- Amarillo *
    Higsons -- Porter
    Fullers -- London Pride

Given the volume consumed BOTW goes to Beartown Peach Melbear in The Baltic Fleet. The peach and elderflower nose was very strong, but there was enough bitterness to cut through ,creating a fine session ale better the more pints sunk.

    Next week looks thin,London based.

An old favourite Oakham Bishops Farewell takes BOTW. Only cask ale this week and whistled through the 3 pint test during the England - Scotland storm.

A rather boring week, Barnsley (don't) and North Yorkshire

    Acorn - Barnsley Bitter
    Marstons - Wychwood Hobgoblin
    Ilkley - Pale
    AB-Inbev - Sharps Doom Bar
    Geeves - Evolver
    Jolly Boys - Yorkshire Bitter
    Beartown - Kodiak
    Thornbridge - Jaipur
    Roosters - Highway 51
Samuel Smith - Old Brewery Bitter
    Roosters - Yankee
    Theakston - Best Bitter
    Bad Seed - Off Grid
    Black Sheep - Best Bitter
    Fernandes - Black Voodoo
    Saltaire - Blonde
    Black Sheep - Holy Grail

Fernandes came close but Roosters Highway 51 is BOTW.

    A fairly quiet week :-

    Otter Bitter 3.8%
    Crouch Vale GI Joe 4.1%
    Gun Best Bitter 4.4%
    Kent APA 4.8%
    Southwark Fagin's Den Special 5.0%
    Redemption Fellowship Porter 5.0%
    Beatnix Republic Beach Bum 5.0%
    Beatnix Repoblic Crimson Flare 5.2%
Arbor THe Devil Made Me Brew It 5.5%
Ilkley Westwood White Chocolate Stout 6.5%

Two of these were way ahead of the rest, the Kent APA and the strong Arbor one which was a dry stout. The Kent one gets it by a wafer thin margin. It was £3.69 (discounted) in the local Bell.

    A steady week...

    Kirkstall Black Rose Porter
    St Peters English Pale Ale
Windsor & Eton Knight Of The Garter
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Raw Independence American Pale Ale
    Three Castles Dark Stout
    Tollgate Ashby Pale
    Stonehenge Spire Ale
    Red Cat Mr M's Porter
    Rambsbury Blindside

Been impressed of late by the St Peters beers I've tried, the English Pale Ale was subtle but very flavoursome, however beaten to top spot by an excellent Mr M's Porter, a worthy BOTW taken in the Wonston Arms Sunday lunchtime.
The outlook for this coming week is looking rather barren.

    Reasonable week for me.

    Ainsty - Northern Lights.
    Oakham - Citra.*
    Bradfield - Farmers Vanilla Stout.
    Elland - Blonde.
    Rat - Ratberry Porter.
Exale / Salt / Roosters - Mind Games.
Abbeydale / Box - Sterile Tears.*
    Salt - Velveteen.*
    North Riding - Citra.*
Flathead - Fat Face Chocolate Porter.
    Stancill - Black.
    Stod Fold - Down Under.
Five Towns - Oh, You Pretty Things.

The North Riding Citra was excellent, but as I've nominated it several times before I'll give the honours to the Velveteen instead. It's a porter infused with cacao nibs and vanilla. I found it quite restrained, but all the better for it. Sampled in The Hop, Wakefield.
