    Ho hum in Kent:

    Tonbridge-Golden Rule 3.5%abv:Tired.
    Harvey's-Sussex BB 4%abv:Some dissonance.
Ramsgate Brewery-Gadds' No5 4.4%abv:Woody, end of the cask.
    Old Dairy-Copper Top 4.1%abv. In great nick.Autumnal,apricots.
Tastiest was ODB's Uber Brew 3.8%abv, but as it was served from an evil keg and was consequently gassy,my BOTW is ODB's Copper Top,not usually my favourite from that stable.

A far better week than expected

    Crouch Vale Blackwater Mild
    Great Heck Black Jesus
    Bridgehouse Tequila Blonde
    Navigation Toffee Apple
    3 Piers Deutschland
    Stockport Jester
    Island Hop Aboard
    Grainstore Triple B
    Milton Marcus Aurelius
    Slaters Neon Kiss
    Muirhouse Around The World
    Wantsum Green Hop Bullion
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Red Cat Mosaic
    Bowmans Sarva

Some really good beers amongst that lot and the Crouch Vale Blackwater Mild was in Pole position all week, really good but pipped at the post by the last beer of the week on Sunday at The Wonston Arms, BOTW is Bowmans Sarva.

The freshest pint of Old Man from Long Man Brewery - early in the week, but I can't see anything beating that!

A few days in the rain swept North provided this list :-

    Oscars Werewolf Dark Mild 3.8%
    Wylam Galatia 3.9%
    Kiekstall Pale 4.0%
    Pictish Mount Hood 4.0%
    Naylors Mosaic 4.0%
    Abbeydale Moonshine 4.3%
    Pictish Sorachi 4.4%
    Saltaire Marmalade Sky 4.4%
    Settle Ernie's Milk Stout 4.4%
    Kirkstall THree Swords 4.5%
    Goose Island Golden Goose 4.5%
Kelham Island Tried So Hard 4.8%
Orcgard Road Big Bear's Brown 4.8%
    Kirkstall Dissolution IPA 5.0%
    Abbeydale Absolution 5.3%
    Brewdog Punk IPA (keg) 5.4%
    Thornbridge Jaipur 5.9%
    RAT Ratastrophic 6.5%

There's lots of good ones here but I'm going for the Pictish Sorachi as tried in the excellent Bradford Corn Dolly. It was something of a Sorachi hop bomb with lots of bitterness. Incidentally, the Jaipur quality in the Carlisle JDW was better than in the GBG listed Bradford pub

Not been there for a good few years, although I'm staying in Bradford in a couple of weeks following a family do in Hebden Bridge...

    Rugby,Flecknoe,Hoxton and Hunsdon.

    Wickwar -- Stand Up IPA
    Spinning Dog -- Celtic Gold
    Navigation -- Saviour IPA * (3PT)
    Clun Brewery --Clun Pale Ale
Church End -- What the Fox's Hat
Hobsons -- Simcoe Chinook Black IPA
Five Points -- Green Hop* (3PT)
Oakham -- Green Devil IPA *
    Tring -- Moongazing.

BOTW goes to Oakham Green Devil IPA,often seen in 'spoons on keg but superb (NBSS 4.5) on cask in The Wenlock Arms.Excessively dangerous, slipping down too easily meant I was weaving back to Old Street.

Next week Hertford,Greenwich and footie might produce something of interest.

    Very average sort of week.

    Rat - BananaRatta.
    Thornbridge - Tropical Sun.
    Wilde Child - Hedonistic Existence.
    Roosters - Scrambler.
Half Moon - Oat to Joy.*
    Northern Monk - Eternal.*
    Stancill - Black.
    North Riding - Cascade.
    Parkway - Norwegian Blue.
    Elland - Blonde.

As I've nominated the Eternal before, I'll give the Honours to the OTJ, a tasty 6.2% stout.

Very good week by my, modest, standards:

    Wickwar Stand Up IPA
    Navigation Saviour IPA*
    Thornbridge Lord Marples
    Jugged Hare Pale*
    Five Points Green Hop Bullion*
    Hobsons Simcoe Chinook Black IPA
    Oakham Green Devil IPA*
    Adnams Ghost Ship

Some very decent beers in there including the Green Devil IPA as Mr F mentions above. Unfortunately I had to stop drinking that due to not being able to see.
BOTW Five Points Green Hop Bullion. Just 3.7% but still stood up against the Green Devil IPA. Great depth of flavour and very juicy.

There's a good chance of finding it on cask in Glasgow City Centre JDWs despite it not being on the guest list and it's hardly Locale! If that fails the State Bar at Charing Cross often does it.
It's no longer generally stocked on keg or bottle in JDWs but all outlets do Punk IPA which is also available as the drink with food. I tried the Brewdog Clockwork Tangerine yesterday and it was pleasant enough but only 4.5%. Next time I'll try the Oakham Alpha Inception.
