    Curdworth,Atherstone,Hertford.

    Purity -- Mad Goose * (>3PT)
    Black Sheep -- Best Bitter
    Oakham -- Citra *
    Blythe -- Palmers Poison *
Beowulf -- Torque of the Town
    Nottingham -- Centurion ND *
    Beowulf -- Black & Blueberry
Cloudwater -- West Coast Pale *(keg)

BOTW goes to Nottingham Centurion ND on very fine form in the ever reliable Angel Ale House..This beer is described by the brewery as a strong mild but at 4.9% tasted to me like a porter.I'm not sure what the difference would be.

Next week includes a trip to Gdansk which may throw up something interesting.

Errant - Wildlands, in Stockton's Golden Smog. Ought to have had a trip out to Guisborough instead but a household problem meant staying local.

    Varied week:

    Purity Mad Goose*
    Black Sheep
    Oakham Citra*
    Blythe Palmers Poison*
    Beowulf Torque of the Town
    Nottingham Brewery Centurion ND*
    Beowulf Black and Blueberry
    Salopian Oracle*
    Abbeydale Moonshine*
    Oakham Thrill Seeker
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

Quite a range and the Centurion ND and Oracle went down especially well but BOTW goes to Blythe Palmers Poison. A very well executed best bitter with an initial malty sweetness, depth of flavour and dry hoppiness which ensures a fast dispatch.

Overall, a very average week, but, better than last week.

    Elland - 1872.*
    Salt - Bonneville.*
    Bad Seed - Strike Zone.
    Nomadic - Beans on Toast.
    North Riding - Mosaic.*
    Skinners - Betty Stoggs.
    Titanic - Plum Porter.*
    Stancill - Black.
    Stancill - Summer Breeze.

Three of my favourite beers there, but it's hard to look beyond the 1872, sampled in The Hop, Wakefield. However, probably not the beer to start your session on...

A very poor week for me :-

    ELB Eagle Session IPA 4.1%
    Southwark Mayflower Session IPA 4.2%
    Rooster's London Thunder 4.3%
    Arundel Black Beastie 4.5%
    Reunion Isotonic 4.7%
    B&T SOD 5.0%
    Southwark Palisade 5.0%
    Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%
    Brewdog Punk IPA (keg) 5.4%

The usually reliable Pale Rider wasn't that great so the best of these was the Punk IPA which came with the food in the Walnut Tree.

    Triple fff Lady Eleanor
    Purity Ubu
    Flowerpots Goodens Gold
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Flowerpots Bitter
    Oakham Scarlet Macaw
    Tring Side Pocket For Toad
    Big Smoke Cosmic Dawn
    Abbeydale Unbeliever
    Hogs Back TEA
    Revolutions Candidate
    3 Piers Chocolate Porter
    Severn Amarillo Citra APA

Slightly better than expected, the Side Pocket was in excellent shape in the Wonston but I have to go with the 3 Piers Chocolate Porteras BOTW in The Alfred.
