An odd week with a few uncharacteristic beers taken, by circumstance, not design.

    Greene King IPA
    Fullers London Pride
    Marstons Wainwright
    Marstons Pedigree
    Badger Best
    Laines Heroes
    Dark Star Hophead
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Long Man Sleeping Giant
    Heritage X Porter
    Revolutions Switch #15

Needless to say BOTW doesn't come from the top half of the list but goes to Revolutions Switch #15,nice and hoppy in The Alfred yesterday lunchtime.

All beers were in Sheffield :-

    Little Critters Raspberry Blonde 4.2%
    Scruffy Dog Sit! Ra 4.3%
    Abbeydalr Moonshine 4.3%
    Camerons Road Crew 4.5%
    Welbeck Abbey Duck Decoy 4.6%
    Thornbridge Chiron 5.0%
    Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%
    Abbeydale Absolution 5.3%
    Scruffy Dog Hoppity Dawg 5.3%
    Brewdog Punk IPA (keg) 5.4%
    Thornbridge Jaipur 5.9%
    Thornbeidge Jaipur (krg) 5.9%
    Neepsend Erinyes 6.0%
    Fuggle Bunny 24 Carrot 6.0%

The winner is from a brewery I'd never even heard of let alone tried. It's the Scruffy Dog Hoppity Dawg which is a stronger hop bomb that was £3.60 in the excellent Rising Sun.

Quieter week with an eastern flavour:

    Barshams Norfolk Kiwi
    Panther Gold
    Oakham Inferno
    Adnams Ghost Ship*
    Brancaster Oystercatcher*

The Brancaster Oystercatcher was an easy BOTW winner and once again flew threw the three pint test.

Not very often I break 25 beers in a week, these days, but a flying visit to Leeds, plus the Sheffield trip meant beer a go-go.

    Ilkley - Summer.
    Kirkstall - Single Hop (Mosaic).*
    Kirkstall - Three Swords.
    Fell - Ghyll.
    Thornbridge - Rocky Road Lucaria.
    Great Heck - Voodoo Mild.
    Tapped Brew Co. - Toha.
    Marble - Uppe Hella Natten.
    Shiny - Paradise.*
    Abbeydale - Moonshine.
    Roosters - Stars & Stripes.
    Mallinsons - Flight Risk.
    Thornbridge - Astryd.*
    Bingley - Jamestown.
    Neepsend - Fafnir.
    Great Heck - Mosaic.
    Blackjack - Dead Man's Hand.
Anthology - New England Session Pale.
    Beatnikz Republic - Midtown.
    Shiny - New Moon(?)
    North Riding - Honey Stout.
    Tigertops - Union Pacific.
    Milestone - Eagle APA.
Crosspool Alemakers Society - Mount Zion.
    Eagles Crag - Alter Eagle.
    Cocksure - Session IPA.

The standard was pretty high, overall, but my favourite was the Mosaic based Paradise, sampled in the ever reliable Rutland Arms.

I'm not getting out and about much these days, but a pub crawl around London for a mate's birthday on Saturday saw me at least live up to my forum signature, and a BOTW at Soho's Dog & Duck.
