A pub is for life not just for Christmas
A mixed bag in Harlow,Hertford,Thames Path and Ham.
Mc Mullens -- AK
Cloudwater -- #www.oooooo.ddd * (key keg)
Shepherd Neame -- Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition
Fuller's -- London Pride (bottle)
Windsor & Eton -- Rebuplika (keg)
Meantime -- Pale (keg)
Charles Wells -- Youngs Special
Marston's -- Banks's Lock 16
A clear BOTW in the strangely named Cloudwater #www.oooooo.ddd in the new micro in Hertford,a fine and pokey (7.2%) smoked beer with a very decent bitter finish.
Next week completes the ticking off of obscure BCN locations ,to be rewarded by a trip to Wolverhampton and a visit to guess where !
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
Very quiet, this week.
North Riding - Citra.*
Acorn - Darkness MILD.*
Tigertops - Equality.
Raw - Grey Ghost IPA.
The Citra was superb, as usual, but as I've nominated it several times before, I'll plump for the Darkness instead. It's a lovely creamy, dark red, mild and a good advert for Mild Month.

Ho hum in Kent.
Cronx-Nektar 4.5%abv:hazy and unwelcoming, little to recommend it.Unsure whether to blame the brewery(new to me),or the pub.I'm minded to blame the pub.
Angels and Demons-I spy Dragon Fly IPA:Very pale, reedy hops (appropiately).Pineapple.Light for its strength. My BOTW, by default.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Abbeydale - Deception. At the Boathouse in Wylam.
A quiet week for me too :-
Titanic Classic Mild 3.5%
ELB Orchid Mild 3.6%
Southwark Bankside Blonde 3.8%
Nethergate Copperhead 4.0%
Truman's Lazarus 4.2%
Hop Back Summer Lightning 5.0%
Reunion Incredible Pale 5.0%
Windsor & Eton Conqueror 5.0%
Brewdog Punk IPA (keg) 5.4%
Southwark Harvard APA 5.5%
The winner is the Windsor & Eton Conqueror Black IPA as tried for £2.09 in the E11 Walnut Tree. The closest contenders were the two milds, the Titanic one being a new one for me.
