I managed a few "new to me" beers last week:

    Pioneer - Prospect
Fireside Bitter - Black Country Ales
    Ginger Joe - Ridgeside
    Soma - Pentrich
    Saddle Black - Purity
    Killer Stout - Beowulf
    New Ground - Saltaire
Stout Porter - Portland Craft Beer Co
Hair In The Mailbox - Mikkeller
    Delirium Red - Huyghe
Jack of Clubs - Wild Card
King of Hearts - Wild Card

My Beer of the Week would be the Killer Stout by Beowulf that I had in The Wellington - a 7.3% stout so one to sip but it was really enjoyable. A close second place I feel is warranted for Ginger Joe by Ridgeside, at The Head of Steam - a 5.6% ginger stout with just enough ginger kick without being overpowering.

Good week for me, picking up two new pubs and three new breweries in the process.

    Red Willow - Headless.*
    Magpie - One for Sorrow.
    Pictish - Brewers Gold.
    Red Willow - Faithless.
Wilde Child - Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz.
    Nomadic - Hoarder.*
    York - Otherside IPA.
    Good Chemistry - Shadow Future.
    Jolly Sailor - Milk Stout.*
    Acorn - Kolibri IPA.
    Geeves - Fully Laden.
    Mill Valley - Fudge.
    Roosters - International Orange.
Blue Bee - Born in the USA.*
    North Riding - Citra.*
    Swannay - Dark Munro.
    Helmsley - Howardian Gold.
    Great Newsome - Holderness Dark.
    Yorkshire Heart - Lightheart.
    Mallinsons - Tropical Blonde.

A close call this week, but the Blue Bee, a 6% IPA featuring Mosaic, Citra and Equinox hops gets the nod. Sampled in The Hop, Wakefield.

    Steady but sure

    Rat White Rat
    Castle Rock Harvest Pale
    Otter Springfest
    Otter Amber
    Little London Hoppy Hilda
    West Berks Maggs Magnificent Mild
Loose Cannon Some Like It Hop
    Muirhouse Hop Garden
    Ascot Dark Horse

The White Rat was decent but BOTW is going to Ascot Dark Horse, not a brewery I am to keen on though being a fairly local one, the beer is a very pleasant Porter at a reasonably sessionable 4.5%
Another fine beer taken in The Alfred on the way home after a Sunday of work.

Did a pub crawl with my daughter and son in law from Waterloo to the Borough .and drank some nice but expensive craft beers without getting anything better than this one.
Although it would have been difficult to beat on any day.
