    Default Scarborough anyone ???

    Hi all,

Off to Scarborough soon for a few days. Well Cayton Village to be exact, just down the road.

Any tips are welcome as ever !!

    Cheers,

Try the pubs in Whitby, just up the coast - Endeavour, Elsinore, Station, Black Horse Vaults, Granby, Shambles, Little Angel etc, etc.

North Riding Hotel, Scholars, Valley, Cellars, Angel, Old Scalby Mills.

All sell a decent range of beers.

North Riding for the beer especially, Scholars sells Durham & York beers, Valley sells lots of real cider as well as ale.

If you're looking for a good restaurant as well try George Michaels (not that one) it's a very good Cypriot place that also specialises in steaks.

The Scarborough JDW is one of the worst in the chain.

There's two pubs in Cayton itself next to each other on the main street.. No idea what they're like though.

A pub is for life not just for Christmas
