    My December Pub of the Month is The Monks Inn a great new micropub in the real ale desert of Hemel Hempstead
    I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.

    My pub of the month for December:The Chequers Inn , a classic Sheps long held pub, last visited by me in around 1971 or 72.Hadn't changed too much!
