I make you right there, I think the only problem with some of them is being a victim of their own success but that can be worked around. I hated the Harp on my first Saturday night visit but really liked it before 11:00 on a weekday. The Great Western can be a pain on December Saturdays or if Wolves are at home but only because there are too many supporters.
I spent Friday afternoon and early evening in Wigan Central which I had prevaricated over when choosing 10. I went for the Belper Angel because it's more of a proper micropub and does a fantastic range of beers. I certainly want to revisit Stone, probably going to Stafford late afternoon for a faster train back to Euston.

I know the rules of this list is no comments about choices so this is a statement.
I cant help noticing how few Camra pub of the year choices are on our list.Comparing the last 10 years I can only see the Harp and the Kelham Island. No votes for the Baum.
    Quelle surprise.

You can only vote for where you've visited. I've never been to the Baum.

Me neither (although it was on my 'visit list' until the recent kerfuffle, and now back on again after the latest news).

Hasn't the Hope at Carshalton won it in the last 10 years and the Reading Nags Head?
The point about no comments was made by me to avoid anyone slagging off other people's choices, forgetting that this isn't the CAMRA discourse forum!
