A very quiet week, but all high quality

    Fyne Ales - Centennial
    Harrogate - Cold Bath Gold
    Harrogate - Plum Porter
    Bingley - Moo Moo
    Harrogate - Kursaal
    Brass Castle - Bad Kitty

Tough choice but Harrogate - Plum Porter is an old favourite and BOTW

Also a small but well formed list.

    Dark Star Green Hopped IPA
    Dark Star Hop Head
    Purity Bunny Hop
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Almasty DDH Ekuanot Pale
    Siren Suspended in Fog
    Kult Rebel
    Lytham Lytham Blonde
    Navigation Smokin Joe

All good but Dark Star Green Hopped IPA Just edges it from Smokin Joe, both excellent.

A week seen chasing the West Midland Xmas ales saw this :-

    St Austell Tribute 4.0%
    Clouded Minds Luppol 4.2%
    Batham's Best 4.3%
    Bluestone Hammerstone 4.5%
    Revolutions Swoon 4.5%
    Titanic White Star 4.5%
    Heritage Masterpiece 4.5%
    Lymestone Stone Cold 4.7%
    Derby Mercia IPA 5.0%
    Sarah Hughes Surprise 5.0%
    Intrepid Odin 5.1%
    Salopian Disintegration 5.1%
    Salopian Crosshair (keg) 5.1%
    Slater's Haka 5.2%
    Fownes King Korvan's Saga 5.4%
Love Lane Double Dry Hopped IPA 6.1%
    Batham's XXX 6.3%
    Enville Blizzard 6.5%
    Titanic Wreckage 7.2%
    Holden's Old Ale 7.2%
    Sarah Hughes Snowflake 8.0%

The Batham's XXX was the most elusive and found in just one of three Batham houses. They don't brew enough of it!
Perversely the winner is a pale hop bomb the Salopian Disintegration as tried for £3.35 in the excellent Jolly Crispin in Upper Gornal for £3.35.

    Bit of interest:

    Adnams Ghost Ship*
    Oakham Hawse Buckler*
    Brancaster Malt House Bitter
    Oakham Citra*
    Brancaster Brewdolph*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

Bothe Brewdolph and the Hawse Buckler are strong, dark beers which suited both the season and the mood. BOTW Oakham Hawse Buckler.

    Quiet week for me, also.

North Riding - US Session Pale v40.*
    Saltaire - Amarillo.
York - (Off the Wall) Gingerbread Latte.
Five Towns - Sweet Thing Reprise.
    Half Moon - Jester.

The Session Pale was easily pick of the bunch.

Continuing the theme just one pub visit, and the one pint was by default BOTW,namely Mighty Oak Whistling Wheelbarrow.A decent porter, good bitter finish in The Old Cross Tavern.

Next week looks equally threadbare until the footie.

    Poynton - Chinook

Also, Poynton - Viaduct, a closed second. This was a new brewery to me, and every one of their beers was superb, as was their micro Flute & Firkin Highly recommend a visit here.
