Just stumbled across St Austell Sugar Plum Porter, one of their small batch brews. Absolutely delicious and one to watch out for if you are down West.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

    Another quiet week, alas.

    North Riding - Mosaic Pale.*
    Great Heck - Voodoo Mild.*
    Ainsty - Assassin.
    Chin Chin - Poolside.

An old favourite takes the honours this week.

An excellent and varied week with most from Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire:

    Purity Mad Goose
    Tring Tea Kettle Stout
    Brewhouse & Kitchen (Bedford) Invarsity*
Brewhouse & Kitchen (Bedford) Tasmanian Tom Tropical IPA (keg)*
Nene Valley Brewery Bitter & Orange (keg)*
Nene Valley Brewery Bible Black (keg)*
    Adnams Ghost Ship
    Lacons Yarmouth Red*
    Red Stripe
    Oakham Musashi*
    Nene Valley Brewery John Lemon*
    Three Blind Mice Battle Scars*
    Marble Earl Grey IPA*
    Bakers Dozen The Big Twig*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

All those starred were worthy of BOTW in most other weeks so it's up against serious competition that Three Blind Mice Battle Scars takes the title. An imperial stout which the brewer (who popped in while we were enjoying it) has aged in Speyside whisky barrels with dates in the bottom to create a stunning and complex 9.7% stout. BOTY to date.

I'll go for an old favourite Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild as tried for £3.40 in the Great Western.
Next week it's the Llanbedr beer festival so there'll be some weird names. I just hope it's cooler there than in the South.
