Gentle week for me, with just a mid-week stroll round the centre of Leeds.

    Wensleydale - Bitter.
    Ilkley - Mary Jane.
    Ilkley - Hanging Stone.
    Salamander - Sixth Sense.
    Nomadic - Agitator.
    Electric Bear - Inspector Remorse.
    Arbor - Mosaic.
    Atom - Critical Temperature.*
    Kirkstall - Dissolution IPA.*

Really enjoyed the CT, a strong coffee porter, but the Dissolution just shaded it. Sampled at Tapped.

Kent:Too bloody hot and few cellars in my area :my cask beer was limited to a couple of non- descript pints of Sheps Whitstable Bay Pale Ale.

Howard Town - Monk's Gold at 4%, a perfect golden session ale on a sunny day in The Swan With Two Necks

The heat meant I abandoned a day out this week but still managed this :-

    Pentrich Columbus 3.8%
    Nightjar Klondike 4.2%
    Robinson's Unicorn 4.2%
    Everard's Tiger 4.2%
    Timothy Taylor Landlord 4.3%
    Marston's Lancaster Bomber 4.4%
    Watermark Mosaic 4.5%
    Salopian Lemon Dream 4.5%
    Redwillow Wreckless 4.8%
    Brass Castle Bad Kitty 5.5%
    Bollington Eastern Nights 5.6%
    Roosters Baby Faced Assassin 6.1%
    Mallinson Spruce Goose 6.3%
    Wishbone Medjool 6.3%
    Vocation Time & Space 8.5%

The winner is the Mallinson Spruce Goose as tride for £3.40 in the excellent Calans micropub in Hebden Bridge where I got a seat inside for the first time ever due to the nice weather and World Cup. Honourable mention must go to the Vocation Time & Space which was a whopping £3.10 a half in the Hebden Bridge Vocation but was a superb smooth strong dark beer. I'd also like to raise a glass to all the pubs / bars found in Macclesfield and Hebden Bridge that DIDN'T HAVE A TV!

Most of the week has been spent drinking bottled Lagunitas Daytime from the fridge in my local, but the list was enhanced somewhat by a Sunday trip up that London,

    Lagunitas Daytime (bottle)
    Hop Back GFB
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Samuel Smiths Extra Stout
    Kent Citra
    Stella (Lager)
    Siren Caribbean Chocolate Cake
    Mikkeller Hair In The Mailbox
    Wild Beer Fresh

The Kent Citra was excellent in The Mayflower , but so was the Siren and Mikkeller beers in The Kings Arms later in the day. So a difficult decision but BOTW is Mikkeller Hair in the Mailbox.

A varied week for a change in Northamptonshire and east:

    Jo C's Knot Another IPA
    Adnams Ghost Ship*
    Woodfordes Wherry
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Great Oakley Tiffield Thunderbolt
    Phipps NBC IPA
    Phipps NBC Rye IPA
    Hart 1833 IPA*
    Oakham Scarlet Macaw*
    Hop Back Groovy Mover*
    Thornbridge Puja*
    Stella
    Oakham Once to Yourself
    Oakham Citra
Nene Valley Brewery Release the Chimps*
    Rocket Ales Vostock Stout*

Some strong contenders in there with the Ghost Ship, Groovy Mover, Release the Chimps and Vostock Stout all contenders in any other week.

It's between the Puja and BOTW Hart 1833 IPA with 1833 IPA taking it by a nose. It's a rich, strong (6.9%), traditional IPA which comes out even better on cask than from the bottle.

Late on parade after extensive voyage.Northamptonshire and Peterborough.

    Thornbridge -- Jawick
    Roosters -- Yankee
    Oakham -- Bishops Farewell
    Oakham -- JHB *
Great Oakley -- Tiffield Thunderbolt *
    Phipps NBC -- Midsummer Meadow
    Hart -- 1833 IPA *
    Oakham -- Scarlet Macaw *
Hop Back -- Groovy Moover *
    Inbev -- Stella (keg)
    Adnams -- Ghost Ship *
    Oakham --Citra
Nene Valley -- Release the Chimps *

The very hot weather impacted ale quality on a few occasions but have to agree with TP that Hart 1833 IPA was superb after a long walk to The Old House.A very fine BOTW.
