A fair old list from Wolverhampton and Newcastle Under Lyme.:-

    Lymestone Stonecutter 3.7%
    Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.8%
    Townhouse Flowerdew 4.0%
    Abbeydale Heathen (keg) 4.1%
    Moor Nor'Hop 4.1%
    Neptune Sea Monkeys 4.2%
    Twisted Rider 4.2%
    Battledown Porter 4.4%
    Titanic White Star 4.5%
Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout 4.5%
    Firebrand West Coast IPA 4.5%
    Kinver Sarah 4.5%
    Coastal Poseidon Extra 4.5%
    Reunion Bloomer 4.5%
    Weal Weller Weal 4.6%
    Leatherbritches Stouter 5.0%
    Holden's Special 5.1%
    Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%
    Castle Rock Screech Owl 5.5%
    Dancing Duck Abduction 5.5%
    Kinver Khyber IPA 5.8%
Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild 6.0%

The only poor ones were the Pale Rider where I think I was just unlucky and the Heathen which being "craft" keg was ridiculously overpriced and gained nothing from being on keg.
Rather perversely my BOTW comes from the only JDW visited this week and that's the Moon Under Water in Wolverhampton which had the Kinver Khyber IPA (£2.29) on four years after I first tried it in there when they had three kinver ales on. I'm hoping it's is a turning point for this old school JDW where the only attractions are ever going to be the ale selection and / or the cheap food.

This is a busy month for me and I'm off to Cornwall on Tuesday!

    BOTW Salopian Golden Thread.

Not the best I've had from Salopian but appreciated on a warm afternoon of a quiet week.

    Larkin's Pale Ale-4.2% abv. Earthy,farmyard, resinous.Complex. I hadn't seen this one before. My BOTW
On the bottled front, I enjoyed the wonderfully named Black Taxi to the Moon from Angels and Demons. I'd resisted this, because it was described as a smoked Porter, and I've never really got on with smoked malt, but this was fine and seaweedy.

Good week for me, with nearly all the sampled beers being pretty decent and on good form.

    Wilde Child - Patriot Games.
    Navigation - Black IPA.
    Ilkley - Spring.
    Empire - Moonrakers MILD. *
    2 Roses - Nailmaker.
    James & Kirkman - Citra.
    North Riding - Citra.*
    Captain Cook - Black Porter.
    Slaters - Bavarian.
    Titanic - Plum Porter.*
    Acorn - Lemondrop IPA.
    Ossett - Inception.
    Wilde Child - Opaque Reality.
    Gun - Milk Stout.
North Riding - Mosaic (BBC hops version).*
    Beer Ink - Simcoe.
    Great Heck - Amish Mash.

The highlighted beers were all pretty good, but the Moonrakers is becoming one of those beers I always try when it's on the pumps. One of my favourite MILDS. Sampled in Harry's Bar, Wakefield.
