I've had a very quiet week prior to heading off for Holyhead tomorrow so wasn't expecting to post for this week. Just one visit to the Wanstead George gave this :-

    Lymestone Stonecutter 3.7%
    Oakham Citra 4.2%
    ELB Nightwatchman 4.5%
    ELB Cowcatcher 4.8%
    Enefield Coppermill 4.8%

The winner is ELB Cowcatcher (£2.19) although the Stonecutter was surprisingly good for a beer that would normally fly under my radar.

A better week beer wise but one stood out more than some illustrious rivals

    Ilkley - Tribus Lupulus
    Ilkley - Pale Ale
    Magic Rock - Inhaler (Keg)
    Brew York - Tonkoko
    Roosters - Helter Spelter (Cask)
    Roosters - Helter Spelter (Keg)
    Bath Ales - Prophecy
    Beer Monkey - Rogue Blonde
    Adnams - Ghost Ship
    Rudgate - Ruby Mild
    Eagle Crag - Pale Eagle
    Sunbeam - The Storm
    York - Ghost

BOTW - Sunbeam - The Storm (a 7% "heritage" porter)

A decent week in Banbury and Bethnal Green, high on quality.

    Loose Cannon -- Instigator *
    Brew Buddies -- Mosaic Pale
Kent -- Prohibition (key keg) *
Unity -- Collision IPA (key keg) *
    Roosters -- Big Country *
    Nobby's -- Plum Porter
Bone Machine -- Vostok Fuel (key keg) *
    Ilkley -- Spring * (3PT)
Cloudwater -- DIPA citra BBC mosaic (keg)
    Fourpure -- Graduation (keg)

BOTW goes to Unity Collision IPA on fine form in The Bailiff's Tap .Tropical fruits, distinct bitterness and dangerously drinkable for 6.2%,a very fine summertime drink in hot weather.

    Next week nothing much on.

Similar list to Mr F's above:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Loose Cannon Instigator*
    Brew Buddies Mosaic Pale
    Kent Prohibition (keg)*
Unity Collision South Coast IPA (keg)*
Roosters Big Country Transatlantic Pale Ale*
    Nobby's Plum Porter*
    Boss Brewing Blaze
    Castle Rock Elsie Mo*

Some good ones there and like Mr. F, I thoroughly enjoyed the Collision IPA but BOTW goes to Castle Rock Elsie Mo. Better than I remember it and very drinkable and refreshing at 4.7% on a warm afternoon.

    Essex,that London and Kent

Dark Star-Hophead 3.8%abv:Initially mellow, then followed by the expected burst of hops.
    Dark Star-Sunburst 4.8%abv:Sweetish pale ale.
Adnams-Southwold Bitter 3.7%abv:Not a patch on former seaweedy glories.
Lacon's- Encore 3.8%abv:Pale gold.Gooseberries, delicious pale ale. A new beer from a revived brewery, new to me, but fascinated by for ages.
Mighty Oak-Maldon Gold 3.8%. Decent golden.
Siren Craft-Liquid Mistress 5.8%abv: Molasses, roast chestnut, cinders.Too warm. Another beer from a brewery new to me.
Three Sods-Trade Union Pale Ale 4.5%abv:Workmanlike Pale. Hedge fruits. Yet another new combo.

My BOTW-Lacon's Encore, fairly closely pursued by the Three Sods.

    A good beer week

    Goffs Cheltenham Gold
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Hop Back GFB
    Green Jack Golden Best
    Navigation Black IPA
    Oakham Citra
    Fourpure Easy Peeler
Gipsy Hill /Eebria Peddlar Session Beer
    Brew By Numbers 11/05 Citra
    Moor Dark Alliance
    U Brew Mega Hippo
Anspach & Hobday The Black Citra Sour
    Thornbridge ENA
    Thornbridge Green Mountain NE IPA
    Thornbridge Melba Peach IPA
    Signature Roadie
    Southwark Cascade IPA
    Hivers IPA
    BrewDog Punk IPA

Many contenders plus a few beers missed out as some my note taking started to lack in Bermondsey.

Tough choice but BOTW is Anspach & Hobday The Black Citra Sour taken in a railway arch of course.

    Decent week for me.

    Roosters - Highway 51.
    Mallinsons - US Premium.
    James & Kirkman - Gyle 200.
    Ilkley - Ruby Jane.
    North Riding - Cascade.*
    Double Top - History Maker.
    2 Roses - Mosaic.
Revolutions - Artemis Cold Brew Coffee Porter.
    Mad Squirrel - Koha.
    Acorn - Pulawski IPA.
    Neepsend - Hildur.
    Saltaire - Onyx.*
    Small World - Twin Falls.
    Fernandes - Belgian White.*
    Rat - Ratnarost.*
    Melwood - Gunshop Mild.
    Oakham - Mandarina Bavaria.
    Fernandes - Sunshine IPA.
    Ashover - Coffin Lane Stout.

Not much between the highlighted beers, but the Cascade really hit the spot on a sticky, humid Friday teatime.

    Cellar Head - Pilot

Had many excellent beers in Kent, but the above was superb. Only for the fact we had to run for the train, we would definitely have stayed longer in this excellent little micro Old Bay Alehouse

Brewsmith Pale. A 4,2% hoppy session ale tried several times in the Medicine Tap.
