Old Town Ale & Cider House

I've already nominated The Bailiff's Tap in Banbury for POTM earlier in the year,so the other micro in town gets the nod this month. The cider range is noteable for fans of the apple and a perry is also normally available.Ale quality is always good, but the selection is not a left field as the Bailiff's,so this is more a lunchtime stop rather than the destination for me when in town.

I'm going for a Scottish pub and it's the State Bar in Glasgow. Finding three offerings of anything decent would be a result in Scotland but this had Oakham Citra, Bishop's Farewell and Green Devil. The Green Devil was excellent and sensibly priced for Scotland at £3.50. It's an old fashioned Scottish bar, It's a shame about the TVs otherwise it may well have got a ten.

Possibly too obvious a choice but full marks to Kirkstall brewery on this one, The Cardigan Arms
