Farringdon
I have booked a hotel in Farringdon for Saturday night so I will probably end up there for the last couple of hours. There look to be a few decent pubs but are there any I shouldn't miss?
Not sure where I will be drinking during the day yet - I am open to suggestions.

Unfortunately the two best pubs (imo) in the immediate area are not open weekends, Ye Olde Mitreand The Jerusalem Tavern.
You may have to travel a little to the west, or south of the river.

A few I have looked at are shut on Saturday and Sunday. Why is that?

Craft Beer Co. on Leather Lane is a short walk from Farringdon tube and is open on Saturdays until 11pm.Worth a visit for a wide choice of real ale and won't be too busy later on in the evening.In the 2018 GBG.
