    Kent

Cellar Head:Single Hop Pale Ale-The Pilot Hop. 4.6%abv:Clear for an unfined beer.Marmalade.I've been impressed with the two cask beers I've had from this brewery recently, though the bottled IPA was let down by poor carbonation.

Modest week in Harlow,Enslow and Richmond.

Mc Mullens -- Rivertown Brewing Citrus Chaos
    Box Steam -- Golden Bolt
    Gipsy Hill -- Hepcat (keg)
Prancing Pony -- Pagan Empire Rye IPA (bottle)*
    Murray's -- Whale Ale (bottle)

BOTW goes to a bottle of Prancing Pony Pagan Empire Rye IPA,sampled in an Aussie restaurant .It was packed with flavour and slipped down easily at 6.6%,good match with my barramundi.

Next week looks thin apart from the traditional end of season session both before and after the footie.

Not a huge list this week :-

One Mile End Great Tom Mild 3.8%
Nethergate Green & Pleasant Land 4.1%
    Tring Abacus 4.1%
    XT 18 Gold 4.1%
    ELB Peacock EPA 4.2%
    Vale Pale Ale 4.2%
    Rebellion Amber 4.3%
    Brentwood Hope & Glory 4.5%
    Hawkshead Brodie's Prime 4.9%
    Nethergate Old Growler 5.0%
    Elephant School Gold Rush 5.0%
    Peerless Mocha Matari 5.0%
    Redemption Big Chief 5.5%

The easy winner is an old favourite I'd not seen for a while which is the Big Chief as tried for £3.95 in the E17 Rose and Crown.

A solid week, with a handful of decent beers in good condition. However, there were only a couple that caused a flutter of excitement.

    Castle Rock - Sherwood Reserve.
Wilde Child - Rite of Passage.*
    Ossett - Jive Bunny.
    Adnams - Ghost Ship.
    Great Heck - Voodoo Mild.
    Mallinsons - Castle Hill.
Three Brothers - Red Fruit Porter.
    North Riding - Mosaic.*
    2 Roses - Auckland.
    North Riding Brewpub - Optimism.

    This week:

    Oakham Hangar 17
    Fire Island Flying Fish
    Slightly Foxed Prairie Fox*
    Abbeydale Moonshine*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

BOTW Slightly Foxed Prairie Fox. A new brewery to me and it came as no surprise that it is based in the West Yorkshire brewing heartland. Prairie Fox is a ludicrously drinkable 5.2% IPA with a dry and bitter finish. Excellent and a strong beer of the year contender.

Not much going on here, just a short trip to Leeds

    Kirkstall Three Swords
    Kirkstall Black Band Porter
    Burley St The Brickyard
    Oakham Green Devil
    Sam Smith Taddy Stout
    York Ghost

BOTW: Kirkstall Black Band Porter sampled (several times) in the Cardigan Arms while avoiding the Tour de Feck.
