They have such nice neighbours.

Hang on, first time since 1934 and they beat Somerset to win this, I dare say a head to head would produce an entirely different result
& no I don't want a load of pre war results to prove who's best, please
Don't they say Yorkshire's ok apart from the neighbours,
& I'm not marrying ROBCamra to end this War of the Roses and I don't think A&H would think any different, don't know about Spinko of course he's a funny lad .
Be a bloody good stag night though

Spare a thought for the poor Somerset fans here!
Year after year we do the gentlemanly thing and allow someone else to win everything. In this case we just showed that we weren't bitter about Lancashires utter capitulation on the final day last year to 11-3 against Notts that cost Somerset the chance of their first Championship title ever.
Still it is just not cricket to actually win things which is why we have kindly handed the last 5 one day titles to:-
Surrey
Leicestershire
Warwickshire
Hampshire
Sussex
And narrowly missed out on the championship to:-
Durham
Nottinghamshire
Lancashire
It would be boring if all those had been won by Somerset after all, so it was good of us to spread the glory among 8 other teams. Grrrr. Bitter? Me? Hell yes!
