Default Camra National Inventory Interactive Map

An online map of the pubs featured in the Camra Britain's Best Real Heritage Pubs book by Geoff Brandwood is available here:

A bit basic, but a useful resource nevertheless.

It is useful despite this not being my thing so I would never bother to buy a book. Do you know who decides what pubs are eligible for this? I see out in Essex the Viper near Ingatestone and Walnut Tree at Broads Green are both listed but the Compasses at Littley Green (the old Ridleys brewery tap) isn't.

Don't know enough about the Compasses to comment (but perhaps the interior has changed significantly at some stage?), but there is a lot of background material here: https://pubheritage.camra.org.uk

The map (and book) are a subset, presumably those the author favours. For Essex see eg
