    Flowerpots Bitter
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
    Purity Gold
    Hopback GFB
    Gypsy Hill Lemondrop Denali
    Hawkshead Lakeland Gold
    Adnams Mosaic
    Youngs Bitter
    Jaipur IPA
    Neckstamper Squencher IPA
    Holts Two Hoots
    Five Points Railway Porter
    Dark Star Hophead
    H&W Tanglefoot
    Brodies Soho Stout
    Samuel Smith Extra Stout
    Shepherd Neame Masterbrew
    Bad Seed Hitch Hiker

Only two really in it for BOTW, Five Points Railway Porter was excellent in The Queens Arms in Walthamstow Village.
However just beating it was a fantastic Thornbridge Jaipur IPA enjoyed in MC & Sons in SE1.

    Mainly Croydon and Islington.

    Brakspear -- Bitter
    Burning Sky -- Aurora * (3PT)
    Tickety Brew -- Blonde
Brewhouse & Kitchen (Islington) -- Chaplin
Brewhouse & Kitchen (Islington) -- Badas * (oak aged collaberation with Innis & Gunn )
    Thornbridge -- Brock
    Titanic -- Plum Porter * (3PT)
    Saltaire -- Triple Chocoholic *
    Oakham -- Bishops Farewell *

Some real quality this week, the Aurora on top form is just beaten to BOTW by Titanic Plum Porter in superb form in Craft Beer Co. ,Islington. The nose is all wrong, but the flavour and lingering bitterness of the PP just tempt the drinker into serious consumption.

Next week looks very quiet, although I'm not doing any dry January malarkey.

Only one pub visit last week with these tried on Boxing Day in the E17 Rose and Crown :-

    Woodforde's Wherry 3.8%
    Exeter Darkness 5.1%
    Dark Star Imperial Stout 10.5%

The clear winner is the Dark Star Imperial Stout (£5.50), the other two were really just palate cleansers. Sadly it looks like they won't be doing it next year.
It doesn't really kick off again for me until next week.

    Kentost Christmas sloth.

Ramsgate Brewery -(Gadds') Little Cracker 5%abv. Spiced fruit. In good condition, but not really my type of beer.
Angels and Demons-A.D.H-ME 5.2%abv.Hazy, on Keg dispense.Hoppy, not too gassy.I'd like to try this in cask form.
Rockin' Robin-Reliant Robin 3.7%abv-Inoffensive Brown Bitter. Had more oomf in its earlier iteration.
Old Dairy-Snow Top 6%abv.Dried fruit, more than a hint of Christmas pudding.Grand stuff, and my BOTW.

I'm surprised to hear that as it usually opens very reliably at 12:00 as does the Bell. A lot of the others are late openers but normally only during the week. Maybe it's the time of year.

Yes probably time of year but there was a printed page of opening times stuck on the door saying open 12.00 Saturday, 12.30 it wasn't. Such is life.

    Slow and steady:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Oakham Crackers*
    Brancaster Oystercatcher*
    Panther American Pale Ale*

All good and very little to choose between them so BOTW goes to Oakham Crackers on the basis that it's another winner from Oakham and, unlike the other three, is new to me.
