I'm going for another micropub the Station House in Durham. It's a bit more pubby than some of these places and the Allendale Thunderstruck was outstanding.
POTM Station House
Most of my pubbing was in London last month visiting some old and regular favourites, POTM is a new one for me though, The Barley Mow,
I had a look at the old reviews before I visited and figured that if Tris C gave it a mark as high as 7/10 it must be good , It was, 8/10 for me.
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."
-W.C.Fields
Twisted Barrel Tap House
There were some great pubs in Stockport as listed by rpadam above ,but my left field nomination as POTM will surely get more custome now that Coventry has been chosen as the next city of culture.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
"Do I know where hell is? hell is in hello"
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Ye Olde Mitre Inne in Barnet.
"Breakneck speed we drown ten pints of bitter"
POTM - Ye Olde Vic
