    Harlow,Old Street and Croydon.

    Burning Sky -- Aurora *
    Mc Mullens -- Country Bitter
    Mc Mullens -- AK
Pig & Porter -- Fatal Flaw
    Five Points -- XPA * (>3PT)
    Oakham -- Citra *
    Oakham -- Scarlet Macaw *

BOTW goes to Five Points XPA,a very fine 4% session pale ale which kept flowing through a very long bout in The Old Fountain.

This week a well earned rest before the Christmas excesses.

A visit to the North East produced this lot :-

    Marston's Wozz Ale (Rebadge?) 3.6%
    Allendale Pennine Pale 4.0%
Yard Of Ale Hellcat Blonde 4.0%
    Firebrick Pagan Queen 4.0%
    Maxim Wards Best Bitter 4.0%
    Sonnet 43 Seraphim 4.1%
    Richmond Greyfriars Stout 4.2%
    Thornbridge Galaxia 4.5%
    Errant Razorback Stout 4.7%
    Richmond Das Boots 4.8%
    Leeds Midnight Bell 4.8%
Shepherd Neame Redpoint Disco Macaw 4.8%
    Saltaire Cascadian Black 4.8%
Three Brothers Black Forest Porter 4.8%
    Otter Pale Ale 4.9%
    Titanic Plum Porter 4.9%
    Jenning's Snecklifter 5.1%
    Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%
    Sonnet 43 Impressment APA 5.4%
    Sonnet 43 The Right Brew #41 5.6%
    Maxim Maximus 6.0%
    Allendale Thunderstruck 7.4%

The easy winner is the Allendale Thunderstruck as tried for £4.60 in the excellent Durham Station House. The only downside was that they were only selling it in halves so I had to repeatedly go back to the bar to keep my pint topped up.

    BOTW Allendale Thunderstruck

Not drinking much at present (in spite of appearances in Stockport) but Slaters Coffee Stout was rather nice.

Exit 33 Golden Cascade. A very pleasant, hoppy 4.5% ale brewed with Cascade of course, tried in the Baum of course.

Another cracker of a beer from Peter at Exit 33.
