Am staying in London for a few days, so just a day trip for us on the 23rd - flexible about the return train, but want to nip to the micro in Hove in the evening. Most probably arrive about 11am or thereabouts

    Sounds like a plan.

Reading back through this thread, there are a lot of pubs getting positive mentions and everyone's got their ideas of the pubs they want to do. In an attempt to give the day some sort of cohesion, I've put together an approximate itinerary (with walking times from Google maps). A bit like herding cats, as always, but if we have some sort of timetable there's a better chance of bumping into each other from time to time...

Hello, I know this was my suggested destination and I am from this neck of the woods originally, but I just wondered how I'm looking for cider? I only started drinking cider when I moved to Bristol, so have no clue at all. Really looking forward to seeing you all on Friday and possibly Thurs eve. X

If you open the pdf attached to my post #93, you will see each pub name has a link to a well-known pub guide. If that doesn't have the info you require, each pub's page has a further link to Camra's WhatPub, which might.

I've managed to get the day off, so you can add me to the list of attendees!

Evening Star, Craft Beer Co, Beer Dispensary, Admiral and Prince Albert all stock real cider, possibly Victory as well. Not sure about the Hanover pubs, as I've not done many of them and I don't think the Basketmakers or the two Harvey's pubs are likely to have much beyond the usual Strongbow/Magners type of option.
