    Default Cannock B&B

Does anyone know of a decent B&B pub/hotel in the Cannock/Stafford area which accepts dogs? We need an overnighter in October.

I'm guessing the pet is the sticking point here. This area is accessible for me in a day so I've never looked into staying. I assume the cheap chain hotels don't allow pets.

Yes, it's trying to find somewhere that will allow 2 dogs. The big chains don't like it. Though to be honest I'd far rather use a decent family hotel or pub B&B with good beer than a Travelodge or Ibis.

You could try cross-referencing these for accom and recommendation - Cross Keys looks a possible.

This is the sort of thing where I believe the much-maligned (in these pages) GPG comes into its own...

Thanks TM, I hadn't known about this site before. Very useful.

Out of interest I thought I'd check out our data for pubs that are dog friendly and have accommodation.

Not that it means the accommodation is dog friendly sadly, but still interesting to see that we have over 1,000 meeting that criteria.

I think it may be about time to make the pub facility stuff searchable as we have a lot of data now.

Any additions to pub facilities greatly appreciated especially searchable. I've updated one that has had an ownership change since I went in as there is nothing on the website implying dog friendly anymore and as it has a review section from hotel guests nobody mentioned taking a dog and staying.

Running this query threw up The Littleton Arms so we road-tested it. First class accommodation, realistically priced, dogs very well catered for, review to follow shortly.

From my perspective, that makes the query very much a success.
