    Default Euston to Paddington

I'm passing through London three times in the next four weeks, so a bit of research is needed on potential pub crawls off the beaten track (all trips at weekend). Although I've been to Euston Tap and Bree Louise, but are there any others on the Euston to Paddington route worth visiting and not likely to be rammed?

Not been for a while but I rather like the Barley Mow and at Euston itself it is generally worth climbing the stairs at the Doric Arch, which also offers CAMRA discount. The East Gate House is no longer cider-centric so you could have a look at 'Euston Tap 2'. One I've not yet found open, a short stroll from Euston, is the Resting Hare - other venerable scribes have opined in these pages. Nor do I recall having visited the Thornbury Castle, but that sounds worthy of a visit too...

I did a short crawl around the Marylebone area on Thursday and ticked off four pretty good pubs:
Thornbury Castle - friendly family run place (closed weekends), 4-6 cask ales, excellent beer quality.
The Barley Mow - 6 cask ales, lively atmosphere, nice heritage pub.
The Gunmakers - 4 interesting cask ales, live sports, smartly refurbished.
Golden Eagle - small cosy corner pub, 4 cask ales, peaceful midweek.

Near Paddington you can try The Victoria, and at the Euston end, in addition to those mentioned by Trainman, The Exmouth Arms is pretty reliable.

If you're prepared to go a little way past Euston towards St Pancras, you could also check out:

    The Somers Town Coffee House
    Skinners Arms
    The Scottish Stores
    The Queens Head

I can certainly go along with The Scottish stores and The Exmouth Arms mentioned by PSM, as being well worth a look, of the others I've been to in the area that have been mentioned, the Skinners Arms and Queens Head and The Resting Hare I found not to be bad but I could take or leave.
If you decide to try The Exmouth Arms , The Crown & Anchor maybe worth a look.
