A great week in and around London.

    Mc Mullens -- Country
Mc Mullens -- "Rivertown " Defiant
    Fullers -- London Pride
Hammerton -- Life on Mars *
Burning Sky -- Saison a la Provision (keg)
    East London Brewery -- Pale
    Five Points -- Pale*
    Five Points -- XPA *
    Howling Hops -- Black XX*
    Adnams -- Mosaic *
    Three Sods -- Mud Puddler
    Titanic -- Plum Porter *
    Redemption -- Big Chief *

The Plum Porter was very good, but I always nominate it ,so BOTW goes to Five Points Pale ,a fine session quaff sampled in various pubs on the 38 crawl.

Next week boating into Leicestershire ,Everards territory.

I've been in the Midlands and Southampton this week so only two of these were in London

    Black Sheep Pathmaker 4.0%
    Titanic Stout (Keg) 4.5%
Hook Norton Mild The Gap 4.5%
    Oakham Bishop's Farewell 4.6%
    Piddle Mad Hare 4.7%
    Leatherbritches Ashbourne IPA 4.9%
    Vibrant Forest Summit 5.0%
    Dancing Duck Indian Porter 5.0%
    Market Harborough Premium Brown 5.1%
Bad Co Dazed and Confused 5.5%
    Conwy San Francisco IPA 5.5%
    Dancing Duck Rosetta 5.7%
Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild 6.0%
    Oakham Green Devil (Bottle) 6.0%
    Acorn Gorlovka Imperial Stout 6.0%
Shepherd Neame St Louis Continental IPA 6.5%
    Exmoor Beast 6.6%

Unusually I would say every single one of the above had some merit and there was nothing even approaching a dodgy pint. The winner is Dancing Duck Rosetta as tried for £3.35 in the Burslem Bull's Head.

    Kent
Pig and Porter-Fatal Flaw American Amber Ale 4.5%abv.'American' but not hyperbolically so. Fruity hops.
    Old Dairy-Spring Top 4%abv.Lively, peppery.
My BOTW-Fatal Flaw, taken in the ever reliable Black Dog, a house I intend to visit with regularity throughout Spring and Summer.

Lots of choice this week resulting in a four corned fight between stouts, MILDs and Hophead, but BOTW: Hammerton - Pentonville Oyster Stout tried in a couple of places but best in the Cock Tavern to wash down a pickled egg.

    Harrogate - Pale Ale
Kirkstall - Three Swords (keg & disgusted)
    Great Heck - Amish Mash

    D'Ardennes - McChouffe (bottle)
    Greene King - IPA
    Fullers - London Pride

    Another quiet week.

    Sonnet 43 - Making a Case.*
    Cloudwater - Pale.*
Pig & Porter - Fatal Flaw.
    Kirkstall - Pale Ale.
    Salamander - Urban Myth.
    Theakston - Vanilla Stout.

Both the Sonnet and Cloudwater beers were very good, but I'll give BOTW to the Pale as it was nearly 1% weaker.
