A bizarre week but with one or two fair beers:

    Dark Star APA*
    Southwark Centennial
    Robinsons Magnum IPA
    Salopian Torque*
    Bad Seed Seville Orange IPA*

BOTW Bad Seed Seville Orange IPA. Delicious marmalade and a real IPA at 6%.

    Dorset,and not much ale.

    Everards -- Old Original *
    Piddle Brewery -- Mad Hare
Dorset Brewing Co. -- Durdle Door *

BOTW goes to DBC Durdle Door on very fine form in the White Hart,Yetminster.

Next week the PuG crawl on the 38 bus should produce many good contenders.

Some cracking beers this week but a winner there must be and it's (just) Green Duck - Duck & Cover (almost every pub in Darlington had at least one beer from this brewery on this week); honourable mentions for Toon Broon and Brew 30.

    Rat - White Rat
    Goose Eye - Pommies Revenge
    Wensleydale - Falconers
    Mithril - The Quaker
Green Duck - Duck & Cover
    Firebrick - Toon Broon
    Loddon - Hocus Pocus
    Rudgate - Brew #30
    Consett - Black Bob
    Camerons - Strongarm
    Roundhill - BPA
Bristol Beer Factory - Oatmeal Stout
No18 Yard (Shepherd Neame) - Hog Island
    Theakstons - Best
    Sarah Hughes - Dark Ruby

    Siren Ryesing Tide*
    Siren Vermont Tea Party*
    Big Smoke Underworld Vanilla Stout*
    Wimbledon Phoenix*

    Durham White Gold
    Surrey Hills Ranmore Ale*
    Truman's Swift

BOTW is Siren Ryesing Tide , given a run for its money by Almasty Session IPA.

    Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.8%
Derby Hop Till You Drop 3.9%
Green Duck Duck & Cover 4.0%
    Heart Of Wales Bitter 4.1%
    Glamorgan Welsh Pale 4.1%
    Rowton Comet 4.4%
Heart Of Wales Welsh Black 4.4%
Heart Of Wales Cambrian Heart 4.5%
Adnam's Two Brewers Irish Red 4.5%
    Burton Bridge Damson Porter 4.5%
    Derby Altbier 4.5%
    Salopian Lemon Dream 4.5%
    Celt Silures 4.6%
    Elland Mojo 4.7%
    Phoenix Double Gold 5.0%
    Butcombe Brunel Atlantic IPA 5.0%
    Brecon Red Beacons 5.0%
    Cold Black Crib Goch 5.0%
    Holden's Special 5.1%
    Gower Power 5.5%
    Battlefield Sabut Jung 5.8%
    Thornbridge Jaipur IPA 5.9%
    Oakham Green Devil (Bottle) 6.0%
    Heart Of Wales Innstable 6.8%
Heart Of Wales High As A Kite 10.5%

The Duck & Cover I too found to be excellent at £2.90 (discounted) in the Platform Ale House at Albrighton and is the best of the low ABV ones. However, the High As A Kite (£5.00) in the superb Neuadd Arms Hotel in Llanwrtyd wins it. This was my last pint here and caused much amusement to the Hotel Owner / Landlord / Brewer. It's an old school barley wine though not overpoweringly sweet that is just brewed for the winter months so I was lucky to find it still on.

A flying visit to Huddersfield was the basis of this week's bibbing.

    Empire - Porter.
    Magic Rock - Ringmaster.*
    Empire - Jonah.
    Wishbone - Bandit.
    Copper Dragon - Silver Myst.
    Mallinsons - Nelson Sauvin.*
    Fernandes - Sixty Shillings Mild.*
    Rat - Ratamahatta.
    Rat - White Rat.*
    Rat - King Rat.*
    Rat - Anthrats.*

No prizes for guessing that a good session was had in the ever reliable Rat & Ratchet. The King Rat was the star of the day, but the Sixty Shillings was also very good.
