    Red Cat Scratch
    Red Cat Tom Cat
    Red Cat Mr M's Porter
    Red Squirrel Hopfest
    Anarchy Citra Star
    West Berks Tamesis Extra Stout

All were very good but the Red Squirrel Hopfest was in really tip top condition and BOTW.

Low in variety, high in quality:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Salopian Holly Bush*
    Hop Back Summer Lightening*

BOTW Hop Back Summer Lightning. Immaculately kept and simply disappeared.

Kent:You know how it is-you call into the pub in the hope of finding a new beer. You do, it is, and it's dull.
Wantsum - Turbullent Priest 4.4%abv.Dark brown, malt led, with a dry finish.Baked apple. Bit dull, really.

A reasonable week for the number of beers tried, but, for a variety of reasons, nothing was particularly memorable.

    Salamander - Star of Wonder.
    Slightly Foxed - Crazy Fox.
    Cmrw Ial - Limestone Cowboy.
    Cmrw Ial - The Volunteer.
    North Riding - Session IPA.
    North Riding - US IPA.
Revolutions - Clash London Porter 'Christmas'.
    Milestone - Black Pearl.
    Fuzzy Duck - Ruby Duck.
    Aurora - Pale Ale.
    Magpie - Thieving Rogue.
    Binghams - Vanilla Stout.
    Ilkley - Pale.
    Summer Wine - Resistance Mild.

The Vanilla Stout wins it by a whisker. The Christmas CLP supposedly had a 'subtle spiciness' according to the barman. So subtle we couldn't discern any difference whatsoever!

A reasonable week around and about.

    Twickenham -- Gothic Dark
Marble -- Carefully Planned Pale Ale *
Titanic -- Plum Porter Grand Reserve *
    Kent -- Clerkenwell Pale *
Siren Craft -- Broken Dream *
    Roosters -- Old Faithful *
    Malt -- Voyager

BOTW goes to Titanic Plum Porter Grand Reserve ,the best of an outstanding range at Craft Beer Co. High Holborn. A dialled up Plum Porter to 6.5% ,just as dangerously drinkable as the original and perfect at Xmas time.

Next week a mini crawl around Kings Cross to supply the final BOTW in 2016.

No pub visits last week an occurrence that could only have happened a couple of times in the last 40 years. The Fullers -past masters bottled beers they have been doing for a few years now and usually only available at the brewery are incredibly good.I have drank loads of beers over Christmas but Kernal and my BOTW stand head and shoulders above the rest

    Festive heavy binging continued...

    Marston's EPA (3.6%)
    Church End Goat's Milk (3.8%)*
    Daleside Blonde (3.9%)
    Sharp's Doom Bar (4.0%)
    Banks & Taylors Turkey's Trauma (4.3%)
    Tetley Christmas Cracker (4.3%)
    Marston's Pedigree (4.5%)
    Atomic Christmas Pudding Stout (4.7%)*
    Titanic Plum Porter (4.9%)
    Vale Good King Senseless (5.2%)
    BrewDog Punk IPA (keg) (5.6)
Evil Twin Xmas Eve In An NYC Hotel (10.2%)*

The Plum Porter was on the turn at Oxford's Wig & Pen, so missed a nod this week, however, next door-but-a few's Pint Shop came up with a corker in the Evil Twin Imperial Porter:

BOTW: Evil Twin Xmas Eve In An NYC Hotel
