    Another Namibian week.

Magic Rock -- Hire Wire *
    Burning Sky -- Aurora * (3PT)
    Cronx -- Anglo American Pale
    St Austell -- Tribute
    Mc Mullens -- Cask
    Wychwood -- Hobgoblin
Mordue -- Howay in a Manger
    Nethergate -- Stour Valley Gold
    Mighty Oak -- Rocket 3 * (3PT)
    Oakham -- Oblivion *
    Oakham -- Scarlet Macaw *

Tough decision but BOTW goes to Mighty Oak Rocket 3,a very fine and quaffable stout on top form in The Old Cross Tavern.

Next week incldes a session in one of the Craft Beer Co. outlets, could get messy.

This week I have mostly been drinking bottled beer, however I managed these draught ones

    Ossett - Big Red
    Rudgate - Ruby Mild
    Rat - Nosferatu
    Wensleydale - Gamekeeper
Consett Ale Works - Black Bob
    Salopian - Shropshire Gold
    Castles - Portcullis
    Loch Lomond - Stramash
    Vocation - Chop & Change
    Titanic - Plum Porter
    Bradford - Ivegate Stout
    Five Towns - Raven King

With the exception of the Castles Portcullis which was boring, flat and lifeless (sampled in Halifax not London as you might expect) they were all excellent, but if I must choose I'll go for Rat Nosferatu, one day they'll run out of Rat based puns.

Sadly my week was disrupted completely by a stomach bug which has now gone :-

    Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.8%
Fixed Wheel Single Speed Huell Melon 4.5%
    Bridgnorth Monarch's Way 4.5%
    Salopian Golden Thread 5.0%
    Cradock's Troll 5.4%
    Holden's Special 5.1%
    Batham's XXX 6.3%
    Holden's Old Ale 7.2%

The easy winner is the Batham's XXX. This year's brew is pale and distinctly not sweet for the strength. It sailed through the three pint test in their Stourbridge Royal Exchange.

Another miniscule list on the run up to christmas,
    Red Cat Prowler pale
    Red Cat Scratch
    Dark Star Hophead
    Sherfield Village TBA
Dunsfold (Crafty Brewing Co ? ) Spank The Monkey, (can't find much info on this beer tried in a JDW)
Triple fff Tangerine Dream 4.5% BOTW, billed as a chocolate orange porter, I got no orange at all but a big chocolate hit and very good, easy three pinter.
