Goes to show how far behind the times we are down in deepest Herefordshire. One landlord is still trying to train his terrier dog to wind up the gramophone and to stop chucking his bones down the horn speaker.

Never knowingly dated one with Dimpled Jugs and I am sure I would have noticed.

    Has nobody said beermats yet?

I really don't like picking up a pint glass from off a wet table and it dripping on me.

Give me a nice collectable beer mat, preferably square so that I can put my glass smack in the centre of it

Still think that is a great marketing idea for PuG, suspect they are quite expensive though.

I see beermats much less frequently nowadays. I suppose there is the green issue as well as cost, but I remember my collecting days fondly. It really did irritate me though when you were in the company of a serial beermat ripper, why did they do that. An ashtray full of those was nearly as bad as one with melted ice and lemon slices.

Surprisingly tempting. May have to go for that at some point, I can see the upcoming design a beer mat competition.

I've noticed it's the places a bit up themselves that don't have beermats, perhaps they're a bit downmarket and too "pubby" for some frustrated restauranteurs.
