Me and Tammy are making a weekend of it so will probably be having a spoons breakfast at Hamilton Hall from around 10:30 on Saturday, will then hopefully be at the Clapton Hart for midday.

I'll be arriving at the Hart around 12.00. Sadly my coach goes from Hammersmith at 18:15 so I'll have to bang out early. For what it's worth - National Express gave me a return trip from Yeovilton, Somerset, for under £20, but the penalty was the short time on the ground.

Now looks like I will be able to make at least part of the day, so if somebody could please PM their mobile number then I hope to track the group down en route somewhere.

The beauty of this one being a short oyster trip for me means I do not need to disrupt my usual Saturday morning activity. So as long as i don't pull or put anything out of place at Yoga I hope to be in the Hart by 12.30..

As I have our local band of 4 in attendance, I'm committed to honour a requested return to Egham USC, but I wish you all a fabulous 38-ish tour (that's the bus, not the number of pubs), and look forward to tales (and photos) of derring-do in due course. Good luck! tm

This interesting idea from Aqualung may have been overlooked in the general rush of approval for tomorrow's No.38 bus crawl in London. Worth reviving as a possibility for summer or autumn this year?

More than happy with tomorrow's jaunt, but food for thought regarding Aqualungs comments re Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton for the near future, who knows, he could be tempted to join us.

Good luck tomorrow, I know Clapton well and when I lived there the pubs on the list were awful. The Bass Charrington White Hart (now Clapton Hart) was particularly dreadful. Now it's just the prices that are awful. I'm going to my last JDW in Lincolnshire tomorrow.
