25th March would be a good date for us too

Currently looks fine for me as well...

Already equipped with the Bus london Smartphone app which gives fairly accurate bus stop arrival times in my experience, thus maximising drinking time inside pubs..

Yes - can do 25th March.

I'm not sure if there's much mileage in going further north than Clapton Square which is a relatively short walk from Hackney Central overground station. There's The Anchor & Hope at the extreme end, but is anyone devoted to visiting http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/25008/? I too would suggest that we go from north to south, both for ease of getting home and also because the northern end of the 38 route isn't the most 'peaceful' of areas after dark.

If you have a smartphone, then Bus Mate (free) is a good app to have for arrival times and just to clarify, you don't need an Oyster card anymore unless you don't have a UK bank account; all you need is a contactless bank card.

Overall this looks like a very good route with far too many holes to cover and many that are new to me, though I've photographed virtually all the pubs along the route.

Oddly enough I will probably make this one

(might need supplies of proper, {northern} beer to keep me going in the benighted land of the flat and warm gnats P )

I'm sure the route will throw up an ample supply of John Smith's Extra Smooth to warm the cockles of the heart!

Sadly London no longer cares for northern brewers apart from Thornbridge and Oakham.

Only a Southerner would think that Thornbridge (Derbyshire) and Oakham (Peterborough) were in the North.

I invoke the north of Watford Gap rule when mentioning breweries .I am sure neither of these brewers are southern.
