Headington and some Oxfordshire odds and sods (the latter visited for photos for the site):

    Shotover Prospect (3.7%)
    Yubberton Yubby (3.8%)
    Brunswick First Brew (3.9%)
    North Cotswold Cotswold Best (4.0%)
    Yubberton Goldie (4.0%) *
    Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge (4.1%)
    Hook Norton Greedy Goose (4.2%)
    Yubberton Yawnie (4.3%) *
    Titanic Plum Porter (4.9%)
    Everards Black Annis (5.0%)
    BrewDog Punk IPA (5.6%) (keg)

The Yubberton brews were a nice surprise at Wootton's Killingworth Castle, and I liked the drum & bass reference on the Goldie's pump clip ("timeless real ale"). The tried-and-tested Titanic Plum Porter was well ahead in the BOTW stakes until I tried the Yawnie yesterday - loads going on in what is ostensibly a brown ale, and enough for me to earn it this week's gong:

    BOTW: Yubberton Yawnie

A close call but Bootleg-Chorlton Pale Ale. Just inched it from Tiny Rebel-Fubar.

Good week for me, largely based on the excellent meet-up, in Huddersfield, on Friday.

    Saltaire - South Island Pale.*
    Vocation - Bread and Butter.*
    Fernandes - American Pale.
    Acorn - Gorlovka.*
    Empire - Forbidden.
    Pictish - Opal.
    Mallinsons - Kiwi Classic.*
    Dark Star - Winter Solstice.
    Magic Rock - Inhaler*
    Magic Rock - Common Grounds.*
    Settle - Attermire.
Three Fiends - Bad Uncle Barry.
    Revolutions - Disintegration.
Torrside - Late to the Party.*
    Rat - Rata Nui.*
    Rat - Nosfer Ratu.*
    Oakham - Study in Scarlet.
    Acorn - Singularity.
    Mallinsons - Centennial.
    Siren - Proteus.
    Anarchy - Citra Star.
    Mallinsons - Doukan Duck.*
    Brewsters - Decadence.*

Some fantastic beers in that list, with many worthy of BOTW on a quiet week. However, the one that truly hit the spot, when my palate was still truly discerning, was the excellent Kiwi Classic. Sampled at The Sportsman, Huddersfield.

I'll go with a&h on this one with Mallinsons Kiwi Classic.

However I had mine in The Grove Huddersfield when my palate probably wasn't as discerning, but it still stood out.
