    A fair week
    Darkstar Hophead
Triple fff Pressed Rat & Warthog*
    Triple fff Citra Sonic
    Red Cat Scratch*
    Electric Bear Persuasion*
    Oakham Scarlet Macaw*

    Longarm Greenhop

The majority of the beers worthy of a star, but by far the best was Thornbridge Kipling, much enjoyed in The Harp.

The winner is the Redwillow Wreckless astride in the Macclesfield Redwillow Bar which seemed a much better place than my previous visit in January last year. Don't ask how I ended up in Macclesfield!

    Still in Dorset.

    Belhaven -- Bridge to Nowhere
    Palmers -- Best Bitter
    Marston's -- Bass
    Titanic -- Plum Porter
Dorset Brewing -- Chocolate Orange Porter
    Sharps -- Doom Bar

Nothing exceptional or on top condition but BOTW goes to Titanic Plum Porter in The Globe & Crown,Yeovil.

Next week should be quality all the way on the Huddersfield crawl.

    BOTW Grainstore Ten Fifty

Based on the Ruddles County recipe apparently and it's certainly reminiscent of that beer, as a traditional, amber 5% strong or best bitter, and has absolutely nothing in common with current Ruddles badged beer. Fortunately.

I had the Fourpure / Cloudwater Optare, a Belgian Black IPA at 6.6% at Fourpure Bermondsey at the weekend.

I guess it has to be Harvey's Old Ale, sampled on handpump in Kemptown at the Ranelagh and the Crown and 'at home' in Lewes on gravity at the John Harvey Tavern.
