Just realised that Beaujolais Day at The Baum is Thursday 17th.

It's going to get very messy (or at least I am).

    Vulcan
    The Corner
    Rat & Ratchet
    *Star (opens 5pm)

Do we have rough timings for these visits?

I was talking to Elaine from Mallinsons yesterday and she and/or Tara are up for coming down to The Corner when we're around for a chat.

If not I can always give them a ring when we're in The Vulcan.

    I would estimate the timings a bit like this;

    Cherry Tree <12:00
Kings Head 12:00-13:15 (allowing Trainman to arrive and neck a pint)
    Sportsman 13:20-13:45
    Magic Rock 13:55-14:15
    Slubbers 14:20-14:40
    Wood St 14:55-15:15
Vulcan 15:18-15:35 (could miss out and go straight to Corner...)
    Corner 15:40-16:10
    Rat & Ratchet 16:20-17:00
    (Star 17:10-17:45)
Grove 17:10-1745 or 18:00-18:30 if the Star is included
    Plumbers 17:50-18:10 (18:40-19:00)
    Head of Steam 18:15 - end (19:05 - end)

All VERY approximate, 20 minutes per pub at the start might easily slip to half an hour. I would still estimate 15:30 to 16:00 as arrival time at The Corner.

I think the list of hardy drinkers is

    Ale & Hearty
    Bucking Fastard
    Gann
    Old Boots
    Real Ale Ray + Fiona
    ROBcamra
    RP Adam
    Sheffield Hatter
    Trainman

    apologies if anyone is missing.

I don't know either Elaine or Tara, so I can't estimate how pleased they will be to have a chat with us after we've visited seven other pubs. Should we perhaps bump the Corner up the list? It's only five minutes or so from the station, and we could then move on to the Sportsman, etc. Just a thought.

Jolly decent ob, but don't worry about me if y'all are ready to move forward.

If so, I would probably swerve subsequent Wood St and Vulcan in favour of a joker (or 2) at R&R, where Jonesey will probably suggest some comedy darts...

I woke up yesterday thinking, fearfully, about how much worse I'd be feeling next Sat and, after a Sheffield debrief, next Sunday.

I am terribly offended !!!! I shall attend with Tony who you may remember from Bristol and somewhere else (which I can't remember !!!). Arrival will be 1245.

Good seeing Ian at Rochdale on Thursday, beer in the Baum was good too although I was a bit gassed by the time I got there !!!

Apologies and grovelling, I didn't see a post from you saying you were coming, must have missed it being a daft old man.

    Dave & Tammy

    making a total of 13.

I'll probably be on the 11:54 arrival direct from Sheffield so will see you all when you arrive in the King's Head. (Or possibly the 12:17 via Wakefield.)
