Old Dairy brewery from Kent has went into administration and like Skinners they are looking for a buyer. Good beers but a bit traditional.

That's a shock-they're not too far from us, and I see them in a lot of pubs locally.

Used to see them regularly around London but not for a while now.Even transporting beer to London is expensive for a little brewer.

Goose Island Brewpub which is both a brewer and a pub has closed about a week ago and has already re -opened as the Queens Head.

A shame - I've always enjoyed their cask.

I know their European orders have fallen off a cliff because of the B word. That allied with the spike in fuel may well have done them.

Really sad to read this. Very fond of their beers, especially the pales.

I am told that Old Dairy are still trading as the administrators search for a buyer.

Like others, I find this very sad - I have only come across their beer on a couple of occasions and enjoyed it each time, still never found Gold Top, maybe Wittenden could give me a likely list of pubs to tick with OD beers before (if) they go...?

While waiting for that, you could plan a trip to Tenterden later this month for the Hopfest (which is still on apparently).

Admittedly I rarely find myself anywhere apart from Larkins' Alehouse nowdays. This has had a green hop and Red Top very recently. Otherwise,The Milk House , Sissinghurst has been a fair bet, together with the Woolpack, Tenterden and of course ODB's Tap Room, next to the brewery and over the tracks from Tenterden preserved station.

Along with Harvey's Sussex Best I do tend to gloss over ODB if there are other beers available. My loss.
