I had their Bitter Me Up at the Sheffield Tap in April - it was pretty good (NBSS 3.5). Their American Brown was on there in May but wasn't as good - only just scraped NBSS 3 which is my joint lowest score for beers in the Tap this year.

Have had quite a few over the last year or so, strangely enough, in my Surrey(just) regular haunt, not all to my taste but more good than bad.

Shame - I heard they were in trouble. I really liked their beers.

    It did confuse me!

Seems there were a few people with the same unfortunate experience, judging by the reviews.

According to Justdrinks and the London Drinker cited in this month's episode...

    Mad Yank Brewery

    Brick Brewery

    Brew By Numbers

...have either closed or appointed administrators.

Strange things happening at Big Smoke where the separate part of the company owning their first 5 pubs has been sold by administrators to a new company set up by the co-founder of the old one. The brewery and their newer pubs are supposedly unaffected, so it could just be a bit of financial jiggery-pokery.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
