    Hertford,Stevenage and London

Wolf Brewing -- Sirius Dog Star
    Buntingford -- Twitchell *(3PT)
    Southwark -- Bermondsey Best
    Hammerton -- Blanche
Dark Star -- American Pale Ale * (3PT)

BOTW goes to the ever reliable Dark Star American Pale Ale on sparkling form in the Harp and tasted even better with the CAMRA 10% discount

I think Moby was the first to point it out ,and there is a sign to the far side of the bar .It's very generous as you only need to flash one CAMRA card ,and you get 10% off your drinks bill, not just real ale. However I guess the barmaids assumed an all middle aged male crew were all CAMRA members...they really should have checked the name on the card that got presented at every round

It makes a decent difference on the price of a pint for a Fullers pub , mind you I don't need to show my card in there anymore daytime,Sarahs got me sussed.

Totally Brewed Papa Jangles Voodoo Stout. A 4.5% smooth chocolate stout.

Had a couple as a nightcap in The Baum.

A few days in Tykeland saw lots of new beers for me :-

    Partner's Working Class Hero 3.8%
    Copper Dragon Golden Pippin 3.9%
    Rudgate Dick Firkin 4.0%
    Wold Top Headland Red 4.3%
    B&T Dragonslayer 4.5%
    Portobello Market Porter 4.6%
    Dorset Yachtsman 4.7%
    Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter 4.9%
    Caledonian Seasoned Traveller IPA 5.0%
    Rudgate Chocolate Stout 5.0%*
Hop Studio Eau Du Soleil 5.0%
    Rooster's Fort Smith 5.0%*
    Cathead Mint Chocolate Stout 5.0%*
    Brewster's Rutterkin 5.0%
    RCH East Street Cream 5.0%
    Hop Back Summer Lightning 5.0%*
    Neepsend Stout 5.2%*
    Atom Half Life 5.2%
    Neepsend Chinook IPA 5.5%*
    Theakston's Old Peculiar 5.6%
    Hop Studio Dubbel 5.8%
    Great Heck Proverb 6.0%
    Elland 1872 Porter 6.5%*

The easy winner is the Neepsend Chinook IPA. Judging by their strong stout and this one they seem to be another great brewer from Sheffield which must surely be the brewing capital of the UK. I had the Chinook on the Thursday night and sadly it had all gone by Friday night. Both were tried at the Lion & Key in Hull for £3.50 and the stout also in Walter's nearby.

Pretty average sort of week, with nothing to set the heart racing.

    Rudgate - Lollihop.
    Thornbridge - Pollards.*
    York - Pale.
    Rat - White Rat.*
    Adnams - Ghost Ship.*
Brown Cow - Thriller in Vanilla.
    Surrey Hills - Greensand IPA.
    Five Towns - HB.

The Ghost Ship just edges it.
