Another good selection last night , Rowton Bitter , Lichfield Bloomin Bitter , Battledown Special Pale Ale , All Saints St Arnold and an unnamed trial brew from Ironbridge Brewery only 3.6% but very refreshing , a good summer quaffer .
As its Mild month my BOTW is Sadlers Magic Miles , at 6% i thought it might just be a Sarah Hughes clone , its not , its a proper Midlands Mild very fruity with a hint of sweetness to make it moreish and that 6% kick gives it a bit of bite

I managed to fit in a lucky visit to the Maltings in York this week and had the finest pint of Rooster's YPA I've had in a long time so that's the one for me this week. I also had a foul pint of Rudgate Viking in another of the county's top ale houses the same day, most unusual for both the pub and the beer.

Now on my 7th consecutive day without a beer! Now I know how they felt in Ice Cold From Alex. I will be emptying a few barrels tonight, that's for sure.

When the Hophead ran out at the Cricketers (Shirley Rd), yesterday, it was replaced by Darkstar APA which was deserving of botw and acted as the session's coup de grāce.
However, I also veered away from my preferred styles, it being May & all, and enjoyed a pint of Rudgate Ruby MILD and a couple of halves of O'Hanlon's Port Stout. The latter was very characterful, so I'll name it as an unusual tm botw.

Tough choice, probably influenced by the fact that I could still taste what I was drinking (and I had abstained from beer in the 6 days running up to this crawl)

In the Station Buffet Bar in Stalybridge:

    Milltown Mild
    Millstone Bitter

    both were fab
    Waes hael!
