    Wadworth -- Swordfish
    Wadworth -- Admiral's Orange Peel
    Wadworth -- Optomism Pale Ale
    Siren -- Undercurrent *
    Cwrw -- Whipa Snapper
Mallinsons -- New World Pale Ale *
    Dawkins -- Bristol Best

Lots on contenders but BOTW goes to Siren Craft Broken Dream on top form in The Southampton Arms. A wonderful 6% breakfast stout,so many flavours.

Next week is start of the voyage east along the Kennet & Avon, confident of a long list and some top ale.

A busy week with visits to Oxford, Leicester and Norwich (mostly Spoons visits) but little to show for it in the way of great beers.

    XT Pi Mild 3.1%*
    Redemption Pale Ale 3.8%
    XT 4 3.8%
    Colchester Metropolis 3.9%
    White Horse Village Idiot 4.1%
    Winter's Golden Boot 4.2%
    XT 1 4.2%*
    Woodforde's Bure Gold 4.3%
    Wolf Sirius Dog Star 4.4%
    Cameron's Fridge Magnet 4.5%
    XT 13 4.5%*
    Wolf Norfolk Pride 4.6%
    Hook Norton Nerdherder IPA 4.6%
North Cotswold Hung Drawn 'N' Portered 5.0%
    Grainstore 1050 5.0%*
    Ascot Anastasia's Exile Stout 5.0%*
    Black Country Fireside 5.0%
    Wild Weather Choppy Waters 5.1%
    Banks's Devils Backbone (keg) 5.2%
    Brecon Target IPA 5.7%*
    Thornbridge Jaipur IPA 5.9%*

The XT brewery seem to be very good and I would give special mention to their Mild which had a great flavour for a 3.14152% ABV beer. The Jaipur in the Bell Hotel in Norwich was better than in the Grove in Huddersfield a couple of weeks before but still hazy. It was £2.90 a pint which I suspect was cheaper than Brighton.
The winner goes to the Brecon Target IPA as tried at Base Camp the Kings Ford in Chingford for £2.35. It's a single hop strong ale but they haven't skimped with the UK Target hops as it has an excellent bitterness for the 5.7% ABV.

    BOTW Brecon Target IPA

    Kent,East and Mid.

Caveman-Neolithic 4.1%abv.Hop forward, with a smoky aftertaste.Hmm.From an unfamiliar Kent Brewery.
Westerham-Single Hop Hallertau Tradition 4%abv.Pale gold "lager ale" without that graininess that I dislike in true lagers.Gently hopped, with a reassuring bitterness. From a familiar Kent Brewery. My BOTW.

    Tried this week:

    Saltaire - NewWorld Red.
Cloudwater - Session IPA. (Mosaic & Centennial)*
Titanic - Chocolate & Vanilla Stout.*
    Salamander - Mind Boggling.
Mad Squirrels (Red Squirrel) - European IPA.
    Kirkstall - Saecularis.
    Fernandes - Octohop.
    Rat - Queen Rat.*
    Bridestones - Pennine Gold.
    Yorkshire Heart - Silverheart IPA.

Quite a few were on indifferent form, with the Queen Rat (porter) the best of the front runners.
