    Kent:
Goacher's -Special House Ale 3.8%abv. Plums on the finish.
Larkin's -Traditional 3.4%abv.At first I wasn't too sure:seems much hoppier than last time, but then a burst of summer herbs. Different, less toffee, but still Larkins.Great complexity for the ABV.
Time and Tide-Calista IPA 6.1%abv.Not sure if I should nominate this as it was in a can, but hey it's can conditioned. Incredibly multi layed, with new world hops that have barely registered on my radar-Ella, Vic Secrett and Equinox. Don't think I'd want more than one can at a time-not really my kind of beer, but all the same my BOTW. I'll be working in Walmer next weekend: I hope to find it on its home turf.

    King&Barnes Sussex Bitter 3.6%
    Darkstar Hophead 3.8%
    Darkstar APA 4.7%
    XT One* 4.2%
    Anarchy Strait Jacket 3.6%
    Siren White Tips 4.5%*
    Hopcraft Oceanic* 5.0%
Uprising Body of an American V3* 5.5%
Five Towns The Secret Life of Arabica* 8.0%
    Longman American Pale Ale* 4.8%

All the starred beers were very good but like Aqualung last week I have to go with The Secret Life of Arabica , also like Aqualung enjoyed in the Nags Head and more than that sat in the very same seat as described in his review.

    Two decent sessions,Hertford and Soho.

    Fuller's -- ESB *
    Adnams -- Ghost Ship (3PT)
    Siren Craft -- Soundwave IPA*
    Truman's -- Zephyr *
Wild Weather -- Keyboard Warrior Brown Ale
    Seven Bro7hers -- Ruby Red
Big Smoke -- Solaris Session Ale

BOTW goes to Siren Craft Soundwave IPA in very good shape in The Lyric,Soho and given the location and ABV I thought reasonably priced at £4.20.No doubt others would disagree

Heading down the Severn next ,desperately seeking a decent pub (and ale) in Gloucester

Plenty of beers tried this week including some well known dross (I make it four if you want to guess) and little outstanding :-

    Sambrook's Wandle 3.8%
    Sam Smiths OBB 3.8%
    Dark Star Hophead 3.8%*
    Oakham Inferno 4.0%*
    Sharp's Doom Bore 4.0%
    Everard's Sunchaser 4.0%
    Fuller's London Pride 4.1%
    Everard's Tiger 4.2%
    Truman's Lazarus 4.2%*
    Grainstore India Pale Ale 4.2%
    Grainstore Gold 4.5%
    Marston's Pedigree 4.5%
Greene King / London Beer Factory London Red 4.8%*
    Newby Wyke White Squall 4.8%
    Hanlon's Stormstay 5.0%
    Caledonian Ithaca Nut Brown 5.0%
    Steamin' Billy (Belvoir) 1485 5.0%
    Wild Weather Choppy Waters 5.1%
    Oakham Mompesson's Gold 5.2%
    Everard's Original 5.2%*
    Springhead Willy's Wheatbeer 5.2%*

As I've visited 3 Everard's tied houses this week I'm going for their Original (or Old Original as I know it). It's an old school strong beer that I'm sure is based on the old Ruddles County (NOT the GK rubbish). I'm sure many will consider it way too sweet but it takes me back to the days when anything other than cooking beers were sweet.
Only one of the pubs visited is GBG listed but it seemed to be as good in all of them.

    BOTW Everard's Original

Thousands, even millions of people would pay good money for that honour. PM me if you wish to send a donation (anything less than five figures will be impolitely declined).

Best chances according to a friend for Gloucester is Tank (Gloucester brewery) I quite like this brewer (no reviews yet)
Brewhouse and Kitchen (brewpub no reviews yet)
Café Rene (seem to have a good range of beers now)
