    Listers -west Sussex the third beer from this new brewer and all dull(wont try again) Express Tavern Brentford
    paradigm -Rickmansworth 2nd beer from them ist okay-but this was in poor condition and very sweet ( pubs fault) Express tavern
    crafty devil -Cardiff all on key keg (lacking any great flavour) Brewdog shepherds bush
    wishbone -keithley (lacking flavour) Craft beer co covent garden
    black edge -Horwich (lacking hops) 3 Johns Islington

    one mile end -London -filthy condition Alma Islington

    Some very good beers last week on our Walthamstow crawl with BF and a day in Cambridge:

    ELB - Pale Ale
    Hackney - New Zealand Pale
    Shortts Farm - Blondie
    Bristol Brew Co - Southville Hop
    Oakham - Green Devil
    Redemption - Big Chief
    Cronx - Nektar BOTW

    Thanks for the breakdown LC. The real surprise is Wishbone, as they're really just down the road in Keighley. With the West Yorkshire market being so crowded, it's perhaps understandable I've not come across those from further afield, but with sampling 450-500 beers a year, I should have come across Wishbone by now.

    They had about 6 of their beers on that week and I only went to the pub with a slim hope that a Wishbone beer was still on.My findings may not reflect how good or bad this brewer is.

    A bit late this week. An incredibly difficult choice between Brass Castle Bad Kitty and Harrogate Brewing Co's Kursaal Imperial Stout. As it was barrel aged for six months the Kursaal Imperial Stout just has it.

    Dark Star Hophead DRY. The usual 3.8% but dry hopped with Cascade & Amarillo.

    It really is dry as well, once you've drunk one you need another to get some moisture back in your mouth.

    Tried several times in The Baum.
