Default JDW Mild in May festival

Now Real Ale FRestival has ended BUT we now have MILD festival..

I had a pint of Rudgate Ruby Mild (4.4%) which is very exceptional and delightful. Very nutty flavour and beautiful finish.

Sadly it was the only festival ale in Silk Kite.. (Other JDW in town doesn't have any)

Six milds on in the Regal Moon in Rochdale last night. You need to move Hoppy.

I went to Acorn Inn, Lichfield and shocked to find they still selling 8 ales from festival for knock down price, £ 1.49 and no Mild Festival in sight! Had Moorhouse's Amber Rambler which was not too bad and just drinkable.

What? Six milds? Did they celebrate something? Must be something do with Gillian Duffy...

They have 18 handpumps in 3 banks of 6 at the Regal and they've put all milds on the first 6 you see as you walk up to the bar from the front entrance.

Much of the footage concerning Mrs Duffy was shot about 100 yards from where we live. We could hardly get out of the house for TV vans.

She lives on Tintern Avenue. Our polling station is on .....Tintern Avenue.

What's the betting that there's some media follow up outside tomorrow?

I've seen her around but I've never spoken to her.

I watched all the media stuff that went out on the news from behind the camera. There was a group of "Community Payback" guys maintaining a nature trail that runs along nearby.

I bet they were overjoyed to be in the background on the national news.

Why is it the word Mild and Gillian Duffy are not a natural word association for me?

As far as I'm aware the only link is Rochdale. I think Hoppy went off on a bit of a tangent there and then I joined him.
